TOsketchfest Announces Winners of the 2022 Best of the Fest Awards

On June 23 the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival presented the Best of the Fest Award Show at The Fox Theatre in Toronto. This event was to celebrate the best of TOSketchFest22 – Screen Time Edition which took place online in March.

Hosted by 2020 Best of the Fest winner Laura Ramoso, the Best of the Fest Award Show featured a screening of 10 nominated works, plus award presentations for The Outstanding Comedy Short Award, Producers’ Pick Award, two Audience Choice Awards, and The Best of the Fest Award. $1500 in cash prizes were awarded to the recipients.

Only A Beer Can by Donny Crosswell

Rob Micheals and Fady Ghali of Wishful Genies, Anesti Danelis, Hillary Yaas, and Rena Taylor of Joy Provision were in attendance to accept their awards. Donny Crosswell was unable to attend but sent his acceptance speech by video.

The 18th Annual Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival will return March 8-19, 2023.
