Just For Laughs Returns July 26 - July 31
Just For Laughs Comedy Festival plans to return July 26 to July 31, 2021 with a hybrid of online and in-person programming including live stand-up shows and events taking place in Montreal, New York and Los Angeles.
All performances, as well as the Just For Laughs Awards Show, will be available across Canada on the festival website with many shows available for free. Just For Laughs audiences in Montreal can enjoy select shows live at Club Soda.
Today’s announcement included the news that Dave Merheje, Chris Robinson, and Chris Locke will film comedy specials for Crave Canada as part of Just For Laughs. Dave Merheje will also host the New Faces: Canada showcase.
Just For Laughs Live in Montreal will be hosted by Jon Dore and include performances by Jen Grant, Nigel Grinstead, Cassie Cao, Marito Lopez, and Rodney Ramsey.
Comedy Night in Canada will be hosted by Ali Hassan with performances by Arthur Simeon, Brittany Lyseng, Derek Seguin, Courtney Gilmour, and Kyle Brownrigg.
Canadian comic Sabrina Jalees will host Just for Laughs Live in L.A. with appearances by Jeremy Hotz and others.
DeAnne Smith, Paul Rabliauskas and Sophie Buddle were also included in today’s announcement.
Canadian comedians are not currently included in the lineups for Variety’s 10 Comics To Watch, the Just For Laughs Awards Show, Just For Laughs Live in New York, The Nasty Show, or The Alternative Show.
