Parton and Pearl brings you eclectic Canadian country music videos roundups when the mood hits us. And it did this week. Check out these recent music videos from Peter Peres, Olivia Ellen Lloyd, Western Swing Authority, Petric, Dan Davidson, and Ashlie Amber.
Ashlie Amber - Fight With You
We’ve all been singing along to Ashlie Amber’s single “Fight With You” since its release in September, so we were so excited to see the lyric video!
Peter Peres - Hangover Sunday
Toronto-based musician Peter Peres has released the music video for his single “Hanover Sunday”. As we move into Halloween this weekend, this video will have you missing the summer vibes.
Olivia Ellen Lloyd - Shepherdstown
Olivia Ellen Lloyd is a “Brooklyn-based hillbilly” who is set to release her debut album Loose Cannon in 2021. “Shepherdstown” is the second single, and the video is a fun watch set to a great song.
The Western Swing Authority - This Old Bar
This new video from The Western Swing Authority begins with a message saying: “The song “This Old Bar” has touched many hearts recently as audience are missing “their place” during these isolated times” due to the closure of many bars and live music venues this year due to COVID-19. The video started as a specific tribute to Western Swing Authorities’ birth place, The Commercial Tavern in Maryhill, Ontario, but is now an anthem for anyone missing their own locals and drinking holes.
Dan Davidson - Role Models
Speaking of locals, pubs, and little ol’ honky tonks, the latest video from Edmonton’s Dan Davidson is “an anthem for anyone that uses their friends as a drunken support group”. Co-written with Clayton Bellamy of the Road Hammers, and Krista Wodelet and Katie Rox of Nice Horse, “Role Models” is for anyone who has been searching their whole life for the modern day “Friends in Low Places”.
Petric - All Who Wander
Canadian country trio Petric have released the music video for “All Who Wander” because “we’ve always wanted to showcase how beautiful our home province Manitoba is. With COVID restrictions limiting travels, we were inspired to use this opportunity to create the video, and share our home in a way we’ve never done before."
