Country on Community Radio in British Columbia

Canadian country fans have access to numerous commercial radio stations online and the airwaves, but there are also many radio programs on community and college radio playing news songs and old tunes.

We have compiled a list of country programs on community radio in British Columbia, and will share other from across Canada in the future. See the list from Ontario here. You can listen to almost all of these stations live online, or catch up on the shows that include a podcast after they go off air.

CFBX 92.5FM in Kamloops

Spirit of the West
Sundays at 7am
A syndicated radio show out of Pinantan, British Columbia which is about 30 minutes from Kamloops. Hosted by Hugh McClennan, Spirit of the West focuses on all things cowboy and features new and classic music in that same tradition.

The Last Crossing
Tuesdays at 8pm
Hosted by Carson, The Last Crossing pairs country music with poetry, interviews and literature with the tagline “Country music usually needs lots of wide open spaces and time on the road.”

Wednesdays at 7am

On the air since and hosted by Alex Solunac, Loud Fast & Out Of Control features rockabilly music from the 50s to now.
